This past weekend was Commencement at Alberta Bible College, where Dustin has studied this year. Greg and I attended the Friday night banquet with Dustin. We were very proud to see our son receive the freshman Excellence in Reading Award! He was presented with a leather bound engraved bible by the Canadian Bible Society. Sunday afternoon the whole family attended the graduation ceremony and Dustin received his Certificate in Christian Foundations. This week he is off at Pine Lake Christian Camp training for his summer with Youth Alive in Christ. We are very proud of you, Dustin!

Love Languages
Have you ever thought you knew someone very well only to find out that wasn't the case? I've been reading The Five Love Languages of Teenagers and I surmised that I had my kid's love languages pegged. Well, I had them take the 'test' anyway, and lo and behold, Shalayne and Travis have completely different love languages than I thought! It's true, we are always learning about one another, and that is why I read books like this, that I might relate to my family better! Sometimes what I find out throws me for a loop!! Do you know your love language or that of those around you?

Holy Moses!
This year I led a musical with our homeschool group called Holy Moses! I was so proud of all the kids despite several technical glitches on performance night. They were brilliant! I couldn't have done this without Dallas' help (he directed the actors) and even Shalayne (she was in the musical but knew it so well that she saved her mom a few times!). These productions are a great amount of work, but so much fun. I do them so that my own kids can have the experience, but it is so rewarding to share with all these wonderful kids!!

Spring Ministry Experience
At the end of Spring Break, the Bow Valley youth went to Pine Lake Christian Camp to volunteer their time in helping to clean and make ready the camp for its next camping season. Greg and I went along. It was a fun time. Windows were washed, bathrooms painted, logs split and stacked, brush cleared out and burned, new signs created. Next year, the youth are planning to go to Mexico to build houses during Spring Break so this was an 'initiation' of sorts. We plan to go along as a family- exciting! (Dustin was in Edmonton for his SME for the college).
